

Sarah Glesk
Biography
Sarah Glesk is a dance educator, choreographer, and dancer from Spokane, WA. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Gonzaga University since 2013 and at Whitworth University since 2018. In addition, Sarah is a dance instructor at Spokane Ballet Studio and Artistry Motion and is a frequent guest instructor for summer intensives throughout the region. Her expertise encompasses ballet, pointe, contemporary/modern, jazz, choreography, and dance conditioning. In 2024, Sarah completed her training with the Mark Morris Dance Group Outreach Program and began teaching Dance for Parkinson’s classes.
Sarah earned her BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts, graduating Cum Laude in 2006, where she performed in such works as Martha Graham’s Diversion of Angels. Her professional experience includes work with companies Zoe Scofield and Juniper Shuey, Alloy Dance Project, Serendip, and Vytal Movement. She also co-founded the CanCan Castaways, contributing both as a performer and choreographer for the Seattle-based cabaret dinner theater.
Recently, Sarah choreographed her first full-length musical, Urinetown: The Musical! at Gonzaga University, and choreographed and performed in Kindling Dance Productions’ Ghostlight and Rising Tide. Her choreography has gained recognition in the first two seasons of Rising Tide, the first production of Ghostlight, and Spokane Civic Theatre’s Carousel. Her work has also been featured in Gonzaga’s annual Spring Dance Concert, the Spokane Film Project, 50-Hour Slam, and multiple music videos. In 2024, Sarah directed several companies at Gonzaga University, including the Children’s Company for ODC’s Velveteen Rabbit, presented by the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center, as well as the Gonzaga University Repertory Dance Company, which toured to local studios presenting works by Sarah, ODC founding artistic director Brenda Way, and performance director Mia Chong.
When she’s not in the studio, Sarah loves gardening, cleaning (truly!), and spending time with the people she loves.
